Ola Electric’s Third-Generation Scooters: Power, Range, and Innovation
Ola Electric has recently launched its third-generation electric scooters, which include the S1 X, S1 X Plus, S1 Pro, and S1 Pro Plus. These new models come with enhanced features and are poised to take on competitors like the TVS iQube ST in the electric scooter market.
The S1 Pro Plus variant comes with a 5.3 kWh battery offering a claimed range of 320 km. Experts suggest that the real-world range might vary, but the power-packed scooter with 17.4 BHP can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds. With a top speed of 141 km/h, this model offers excellent performance for daily commuting and long rides.
On the other hand, the TVS iQube ST, with a 5.1 kWh battery, provides 5.9 BHP and a torque of 33 Nm. Although its performance is impressive, with a 0-40 km/h acceleration time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 82 km/h, it can’t quite match up to the Ola S1 Pro Plus’s superior specs.
TVS iQube ST offers a real-world range of around 110 km and takes about 4 hours and 18 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%. However, the Ola S1 Pro Plus comes with several segment-first features like dual ABS, twin disc brakes for enhanced stopping power, and Brake-by-Wire technology. Riders can choose from four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco, allowing them to customize their experience.
The TVS iQube ST focuses on connected, comfortable riding with features like turn-by-turn navigation, a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with voice assistance, and Alexa integration. It also offers over-the-air updates, a generous 32-liter under-seat storage, geo-fencing, live locator, crash alerts, and mobile app notifications for added safety.
With Ola Electric continuing to roll out advanced features and competitive pricing, it’s clear that the electric scooter market in India is set for a thrilling ride ahead.
