Bengaluru: A viral video showing a BMTC conductor allegedly pushing a schoolboy with his foot has sparked outrage among passengers and netizens. Following the video’s circulation, the BMTC has acknowledged the incident and assured action after an investigation.
The incident reportedly took place at the Chikkabidarakallu bus stop on Saturday when a group of schoolchildren was boarding the bus. According to passengers, the conductor forcefully pushed one of the students, which led to heated discussions online.

The video was shared on multiple social media platforms, including the Twitter handle of Chetan Surya and several Instagram accounts. In the footage, the conductor is heard defending himself, saying, “I didn’t push him with my foot; my knee just touched him.” He is also seen challenging the complainants to report the incident if they wish.
As public anger mounted, BMTC responded via its official ‘X’ account, confirming that a complaint had been registered. “We have taken note of the incident and will take appropriate action after investigation,” the statement read.
