The deceased has been identified as Bhumika, a Class 10 student at a private school in Girinagar. According to police reports, on Thursday morning, Bhumika’s parents knocked on her door to wake her up. When they received no response, they peered through the window and found her hanging from the ceiling fan with a saree.
Investigations suggest that Bhumika took this extreme step due to distress over parental reprimands regarding her lack of preparation for upcoming preparatory exams. However, no suicide note was found. Authorities have registered a case of unnatural death and are conducting further inquiries.
