BSNL Stuns Airtel and Jio With Ultra-Cheap Year-Long Recharge Plan

BSNL has launched a budget-friendly recharge plan with 336 days validity, unlimited calls, and SMS benefits, offering a unique option for users looking to avoid monthly recharges and save money.

  • BSNL introduces 336 days validity recharge plan
  • ₹1499 pack offers unlimited calls, 24GB data, 100 SMS per day
  • No OTT benefits, but cheaper than Airtel and Jio

BSNL’s New ₹1499 Plan

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has rolled out a new prepaid plan priced at ₹1499 that comes with 336 days validity. This recharge includes 24GB of high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day. Once the data limit is exhausted, the speed drops to 40kbps.

Why This Plan Stands Out

The biggest attraction of this plan is its affordability. Users essentially pay less than ₹130 per month for nearly year-long benefits. It is particularly useful for people who rely mostly on Wi-Fi at home or office and need limited mobile data but consistent calling and messaging services.

How It Compares With Airtel and Jio

Currently, neither Reliance Jio nor Airtel offer a similar 336-day validity plan for smartphones at such a low cost. Jio has a comparable long-term option, but it is restricted only to JioPhone users. This makes BSNL’s ₹1499 plan unique and unmatched in today’s market, especially for budget-conscious customers.

A Move to Attract Customers

In recent months, BSNL has been actively trying to win back customers with innovative offers like free broadband for a month and ultra-low-cost recharge packs under its “Freedom Offer.” This latest launch is another attempt to compete with telecom giants Airtel and Jio, both of which have recently hiked their tariffs.
