Taiwan Excellence Unveils Next-Gen Manufacturing Tools at IMTEX 2025 to Boost India’s Industrial Growth

Bengaluru: At IMTEX 2025, the premier exhibition for machine tools and manufacturing technology in South and South-East Asia, Taiwan Excellence (TE) is marking its presence with an impressive showcase. Held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from January 23 to 29, this event features advanced manufacturing solutions from 13 leading Taiwanese brands, including AXISCO, AutoGrip, CHMER, HIWIN, Honor Seiki, INNGRIT, KANFON, MECOM, PALMARY, QUASER, OSCARMAX, SYNTEC, and TBI Motion.

As India continues to rise as a key market for Taiwanese machine tools, it now ranks as the fourth-largest importer. Taiwan’s machine tool exports to India surged by 20.8% in 2024, reaching US$145.87 million. The Taiwan Excellence pavilion at IMTEX is a testament to the growing partnership between Taiwan and India, with 17 cutting-edge technologies on display aimed at enhancing India’s manufacturing capabilities.

Highlighting Innovation and Technology

On the first day of the exhibition, TE launched the “Crafting Excellence for a Progressive Tomorrow” session, presenting groundbreaking technologies from five major brands. Among the innovations showcased were:

  • CHMER: UA432L Wire Cut EDM, featuring 48 patented technologies to enhance precision and efficiency for industries like electronics, automotive, and medical manufacturing.
  • PALMARY: Dual-spindle grinding tools for multi-dimensional grinding in one setup, ideal for mass production and optimized accuracy.
  • QUASER: Automation tools designed to enhance mass production efficiency while controlling costs.
  • HIWIN: The i4.0GW® system for predictive maintenance, designed to maximize efficiency and reduce waste in sectors like semiconductors and automation.
  • SYNTEC: Advanced control systems for 5-axis machining, offering intuitive user interfaces, smart maintenance, and robust data security.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Future Prospects

Richard Chen, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in Chennai, highlighted Taiwan’s role in India’s manufacturing transformation, noting the increasing adoption of Industry 4.0 and IoT technologies. He emphasized Taiwan’s commitment to supporting India’s growth with cutting-edge automation solutions, aligning with the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative.

Shri M.G. Balakrishna, President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), also expressed his support, underscoring Taiwan’s contribution to improving India’s manufacturing landscape. He noted that Taiwan’s innovative tools would help Indian companies enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and sustainability.

Taiwan Excellence remains committed to strengthening collaborations with Indian industry partners, government agencies, and companies. As India’s manufacturing sector continues to evolve, Taiwan’s machine tools market is poised for significant growth, with projections indicating a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.3% between 2025 and 2030. This partnership is not only driving industrial innovation but also contributing to economic progress across various sectors.
