Gujarat.: A horrific road accident occurred early on Sunday morning, when a private bus carrying pilgrims lost control and plunged into a gorge. The accident resulted in the death of seven people, with 15 others suffering severe injuries. The incident took place in the Saputara Hill Station area of Dang district, Gujarat state. The bus fell into a gorge 200 feet deep around 5:30 AM.
Police have confirmed that the bus lost control due to brake failure. Along with the driver, seven people tragically lost their lives in the incident. Upon receiving the news, the police immediately rushed to the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital.

The pilgrims were en route to Dwarka in Gujarat from Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra when the accident occurred. According to Dang district collector Mahesh Patel, all the victims hailed from various districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashok Nagar.
The group had set out on December 23, 2025, in four separate buses to visit pilgrimage sites across India. Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the brake failure, leading to the fatal accident.
