The arrested suspects, identified as K. Harikrishna from Andhra Pradesh and K. Sudhakar from Tamil Nadu, were involved in a robbery on January 4 in Vijayapura town. They had followed a customer, Mahesh Babu, after he withdrew money from a bank and ambushed him on Bullahalli Road, stealing ₹1.5 lakh before fleeing.
