The incident took place in the Sankrail area, where the woman was struggling with financial difficulties and was worried about her daughter’s future. In an attempt to escape from financial problems, she devised a cunning plan. Convincing her husband that he needed urgent medical treatment, she arranged a secret surgery. Without his knowledge, she sold his kidney for ₹10 lakh. Later, she told him that the money was being deposited into a bank account for security. However, that very night, she withdrew all the money and fled the house with her daughter and lover. When the husband realized that his wife, daughter, and the money were all missing, he was left in shock. Upon searching for her, he discovered that she was living with her lover, a painter, in the Barrackpore area. Furious, he confronted her along with his family members. However, the wife refused to return home and even threatened to send him divorce papers. Realizing the extent of his wife’s betrayal, the devastated husband approached the police and lodged a formal complaint. Following the complaint, the police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the matter.
