On February 14, two more suspected cases were reported, further intensifying concerns about the outbreak. The Maharashtra Health Department revealed that 180 patients have been diagnosed with GBS, while the remaining cases exhibit symptoms and are under observation. GBS is a rare autoimmune disorder in which the body's immune system attacks the nerves, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and respiratory issues. The latest fatality occurred in Kolhapur on February 13, marking the 9th death linked to GBS. Of the deceased, four were confirmed GBS patients, while the others were suspected cases.
