On February 1st, LPG consumers received some relief as the price of commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by ₹7. This small yet significant drop, however, only applies to the 19 kg commercial cylinders, not the domestic ones (14 kg cylinders), which remain unchanged since August 2024. According to the latest update from Indian Oil, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has now been reduced to ₹1797, down from ₹1804 in January. Similarly, in Kolkata, the price has decreased to ₹1907 from ₹1911. In Mumbai, the price has come down to ₹1749.50, from ₹1756 earlier. In Kolkata, the price for a blue 19 kg cylinder has also been revised to ₹1959.50 from ₹1966. For instance, in Delhi, the price for the 14 kg domestic cylinder remains at ₹803 as of today, February 1st. In other cities like Lucknow, the 14 kg cylinder is priced at ₹840.50, while the 19 kg commercial cylinder costs ₹1918. In Kolkata, the price is ₹829, while in Mumbai and Chennai, it is ₹802.50 and ₹818.50, respectively. Looking at LPG prices in previous years, the prices have fluctuated slightly around the budget periods. In the 2024 budget day, the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was ₹1769.50 in Delhi, ₹1887 in Kolkata, ₹1723.50 in Mumbai, and ₹1937 in Chennai. Compared to the 2023 budget, there was no change in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders.
