Under the new NPCI guidelines, UPI IDs must adhere to a stricter format. While numbers and certain letters will still be allowed, unique characters such as *, @, #, $, & will no longer be permitted. Users who currently have UPI IDs containing these special characters may need to update their IDs to comply with the new regulations.
